Another Saturday, that means another adventure! Yippee! Mom and I headed off to a new location with excitement. The car rides are always amazing, nothing I love more than blasting good music and hanging with my best friend :) It was a hike to get there but it was so worth it. Trying to find some hiking trails was a bit confusing but when we did we were amazed. As soon as we began, I noticed this beauty, ruler of the forest! I was in awe and spent probably around 45 minutes trying to capture its dominance. These pictures don't even do it justice but you can get the jist. I loved it and I will be back to photograph it again! There were so many interesting plants and giant trees which made my soul so warm especially with all of the pretty fall colors. I was super excited that we arrived at the park later on in the day because then I got to capture the golden hour and oh man was it gorgeous. I did not want to leave this place. So much beauty! It was also exciting for Mom and I to really test out our phone cameras in all of the beauty. They did not disappoint and we never lost service wooo<3 Amazing difference from before. Everything smelled so fresh and had that amazing fall smell. I couldn't get enough of the clean and leafy air. Nothing compares to a walk in the woods on a fall evening. Mom was obsessed with this tree and how it split into 5 different trees further up. I however, was more entertained by the fact that the tree had a massive dong. Hahahahahha. As seen in the photo above. As the sun got lower it was time to capture some beautiful sunset shots that I am very proud of. I had fun showing Mom how to position to get the coolest shots with the sun and leaves in the frame. Here are a few of my favorites! Near the end of our hiking adventure we finally found a spot to get down by the water so Mom didn't have to cry that she didn't get to touch it. It was breathtaking down there. I kept saying "I wanna live here." Mom was having fun looking at little minnows while I snapped away. I hope all of you can feel the warmth and amazement in these photos as we did while seeing it in real life. We hung out here until the sun had set and then we needed to figure out something to eat because we were starved. Our original idea got destroyed when the place was closed early ;( so I pulled out my GPS and looked for something else. We decided we were gonna head to Potbelly but we did not know that it was in downtown Ann Arbor...ughhhh. It was so much worse because the Michigan game had let out not too long before. It was a madhouse down there. We finally found a place to park which was miles away from Potbelly so that was out. We sat in the car and looked around and I noticed a girl sitting down on a stump. Then suddenly she took her pants off and was stumbling around naked. People on the street just ignored her as she fell over bare assed. We were about to get out and help her or call someone when a few good citizens stopped and helped her. Its disgusting how many people just walked past. Yes, it was stupid she was that hammered, but at that point she needed help before some sick bastard got ahold of her. After that fiasco was over we walked down the street and got a very interesting sub at a pizza place. It was surprisingly very good. The weirdness of the night would continue however. When we were almost home, I saw a lady in her van driving while snuggling an unwrapped cheeseburger to her cheek. Yes I am sure it was a burger. Weird weird weird. People never fail to amaze me. All in all it was an amazing and memorable day! Can't wait for another...
Until next time....... Let's see.....where were we? Ah yes we were exiting the first viewing balcony! This place was so fascinating to me because there were so many types of trees and life around. So different from what is growing at home! It's exciting for me to see different trees as trees are my love. Speaking of which, lets appreciate this one... And it just kept getting better and more beautiful! I loved this place so much it had everything I loved to photograph! It was so peaceful and quite here, just us and nature and thats how I like it! That's how I would like to live always! And someday I will. Away from all the annoying people of society, no social media, no customers oh yes it will be heaven. As we walked further down the path we stumbled across a few waterfalls! I was so excited I spent over 45 minutes photographing the first one. Which included me climbing, sliding and jumping to get to the top to photograph it from a different perspective. I do what I have to do to get the shot! My beautiful shot I worked so hard to get! I love it. You rarely see falls from this perspective so I am proud of it. Well, that is all for now! Part 3 will be coming soon :)
Until then..... Oh my favorite day of the week :) Mom, Chris and I decided to make a day trip up north to a place Chris had discovered last weekend. I was excited of course to go up north and go somewhere totally different. It sure didn't disappoint, which is part of the reason this post will be broken down into parts. I have too many awesome pictures to fit into one post. So here we go with what I've gotten done today! My feet enjoying some fresh air and freedom from feet prison aka shoes. Our first stop was a place we were scoping out to do some star photography later on that night. We stopped there and enjoyed some fresh air and the water for awhile before hitting the road again. After this we kept heading toward our second destination but hit some beautiful and interesting spots along the way. First we ran into a store that also had several intersting animals in enclosures out front. I of course was infatuated with the BEAUTIFUL MAJESTIC foxes. pffftttt....I'm not crying from their cuteness, who is crying? After I stopped having a heart attack over the foxes, we took off for next destination. This place was beyond beautiful and I will only show you the beginning of it in this post. First of all let me say..HOLY STAIRS!!!!! So many stair to go down/up. It is soooo worth the work out though. This was the first of a few viewing balconies. It was so peaceful and breathtaking except for the stupid other people there talking about how some guy splatted on their car from a building. Classy thanks for sharing douche bags. Anyways...back to the beauty I'll have to leave you with these beautiful photographs for today. More tomorrow I promise ;)
During our trip to Pennsylvania, we had stopped at a park to walk on nature trails. What would a road trip be without hiking?! As we began walking down the path, we noticed a random railroad track on the side of the path that led to nowhere. It was so weird. Why was there rail road tracks in the middle of nowhere that ended abruptly? What was it's purpose? Where is the rest of it? Is this some kind of vortex to the underworld? The weirdness did not end there. We found a way into the actual woods and noticed a strange abandoned building. We could not figure out for the life of us what it could have possibly been before it blew up. Why would there be a random concrete building in the middle of the woods? It makes no sense which made it all the more exciting to shoot. As we adventured farther in, it started to smell really foul and weird. We decided to bail after that. We didn't wanna be the next victims of this strange place. It was amazing to shoot though. I've been so lazy and putting off writing this post. Now I am forcing myself to get writing :) Mom, Jeff and I decided to head to PA for a wrestling show he wanted to attend. It was fun to see Pittsburgh and different areas than we were in before. Jeff's road rage made me laugh when I wasn't asleep. It was a fantastic day to enjoy the outdoors. Perfect weather, perfect sky. I hate a plain blue sky and I hate overcast We decided to visit this petting zoo/barn type thing. It was pretty lame compared to what I am used to with my Moos. I of course had to track down the barn cat and make it get its picture taken. Fluffy baby. Part two of this post will come soon!
Adios ;) Yess! The day finally came for this amazing show. I've been waiting so long for it to get here. It was phenomenal. I was so excited to finally see Breaking Benjamin
live and they surely did not disappoint. Avenged was on point, and it had to be the best show they've put in the four shows I've seen them on. Here are a few highlights.... Since I am sick and stuck in bed without a voice, I figured I would put together a collection of pictures that didn't seem to make on blog posts but are awesome on their own. Buckle up, here we goooooo.
This past weekend, Mom, Chris and I decided to do an impromptu road trip in honor of my birthday (which is tomorrow) It would have been a terrible idea to travel north because it was Memorial Day weekend....family and crowd city YIKES. We decided to go south and check out the caves in Ohio and they did not disappoint. I got several "cave kisses" so I am ready for my good luck anytime now haha. Caves are so bizarre to me. It's so hard to understand how long it takes for these formations to be formed. Let's pay our respects to the Cave King pictured above. This guy is over 4ft and 400+lbs. Let's not forget the fact that he is 200,000 years old!!!!!!! WHAT!!?!?!??! INSANITY Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would love to visit again. If any of you have the chance, go and visit this place and please PLEASE don't be the asshole who touches the walls. If you do, I sincerely hope a stalactite falls in your head.
After a longgggg and awful day, these are the sort of pictures I wanna look at and create. They put me in my dreamy happy place :) Enjoy!
