Soooooooooooooo I decided it was time for a hair change! I left green to rest til another time and went to my favorite color and one of my favorite hair colors! I had to have two shades so light purple on bottom and deep purple on top.
I don't know why I never got around to a Saturday Adventure post last weekend, nor an XICW post, and now I'm behind on a hair post. So we'll put them all in one. Last Saturday Mom and I went for a walk in the rain, we didn't care. I love the rain and I kept my camera inside of my hoodie so it was safe. It was so relaxing and reviving to feel the cool rain on me in the woods. The place we went to originally was INCREDIBLY lame so we decided to find another place to go. The second destination was much more satisfying<3 Essentially meaning it had lots of badass gorgeous trees and these young ladies :) Skip forward to Sunday which was XICW. I feel like I took some of the best wrestling pictures of my life that night. It was so cool to be so excited about these photographs. Here are a few of my favorites. I'm so stoked at how they turned out so well. I guess focusing and really getting in the zone makes a big difference haha.

It has been a loooooongggggg week and I haven't had a chance to get out and take any pictures since Saturday. So, I decided to go through old memory cards and see if there was anything worth posting. I found my long lost WWE pictures from 2013 that I have been searching for. Helllllllooooooo :D What a find ;D I'll keep my fangirling to a minimum. Okay okay, getting a little carried away here....onto the next memory card. Aww look how cute, Mom and I on my graduation :) and me.......with LONG BLONDE hair...haha what a change Well that's a wrap on Flashback Friday....
Adios I was getting tired of editing hundreds of wrestling pics, so I decided to follow this little demon around with my camera.
Today I woke up around 1:30 after a great sleep. As soon as I woke up I answered some work calls (ugh) and then wanted to get moving on art. My artistic soul was exploding. Mom and I headed to the woods as usual for a walk before our dinner plans w/ our buddy Matt. It was a hot but nice day for a walk. I wanted to get some pictures of my new hair in the sunlight to show its awesomeness. Here are some of those: excuse all of the selfies ;) The woods in this area have grown to be a lot more green and lush than they have been in previous years. Always nice to see nature getting healthy again. Walking in woods always makes me so relaxing and peaceful inside. I didn't take many photos but here are a few. We finished our walk around 4:30 and started to head downtown to meet up for dinner. Everyone decided to drive like an asshole so I was not amused with that and my lack of faith in humanity increased a bit more. We parked and headed down to Mercury Bar in Corktown. It was very inviting, I didn't know what to expect since I have never been to this area before. They had a lot of interesting choices of burgers which they are famous for. I was really excited to try these legendary burgers as I am a burger lover. Oh My God they did not disappoint. The meat was so juicy and had such good flavor. They gave me about 15 pickles on my burger oh yeah. Wooooo. We enjoyed yummy food and great conversation w Matt. Very nice to hang out in a different setting. The manager of the place was a total douche bag but everything else was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It is awesomeee. After our yummy meal we went our separate ways and Mom and I drove around and listened to great tunes w the windows down. Two of my favorite things. A perfect way to end a good day :) We happened to run across these babies on the way home
I've been so lazy and putting off writing this post. Now I am forcing myself to get writing :) Mom, Jeff and I decided to head to PA for a wrestling show he wanted to attend. It was fun to see Pittsburgh and different areas than we were in before. Jeff's road rage made me laugh when I wasn't asleep. It was a fantastic day to enjoy the outdoors. Perfect weather, perfect sky. I hate a plain blue sky and I hate overcast We decided to visit this petting zoo/barn type thing. It was pretty lame compared to what I am used to with my Moos. I of course had to track down the barn cat and make it get its picture taken. Fluffy baby. Part two of this post will come soon!
Adios ;) Yess! The day finally came for this amazing show. I've been waiting so long for it to get here. It was phenomenal. I was so excited to finally see Breaking Benjamin
live and they surely did not disappoint. Avenged was on point, and it had to be the best show they've put in the four shows I've seen them on. Here are a few highlights.... I am BEYOND excited to have my new lens at last. OMG! I can't wait to shoot wrestling this weekend with this badass sexy lens. I'll let these pictures speak for themselves.
Holy shit! Another Corey concert, and my God it was amazing. We got to Saint Andrews around 6 which was not early enough for me but we got lucky and saw some buddies from Clash in line so we hopped in line with them. We stood around and chatted for the duration of time before the doors opened and watched all of the interesting folks of Detroit pass us by. When the doors finally opened at 7 we got in (they didn't even check my camera, coulda brought my good camera damn it) we ran as close as the front as we could get, which was about 4 "rows" of people from the stage with hopes of creeping up to the front. Now for the terrible part....waiting for the show to start in a sea of sweaty obnoxious bodies...my worst nightmare. I stood with arms crossed and didn't speak. Corey, of course, took his sweet time to get his ass on stage as usual. The show started about 5 min after 8. Yes finally. The good stuff. He started off talking and telling his crazy tales of how everyone in the world hates him for calling them out on their shit and how he gets children swearing at him and telling him he SUCKS because he disses the "selfie stick" Another tale was how they were playing at Harpos and some giant linebacker of a woman managed to get on stage and proceed to grab his hair, force him to head bang and rape him at the same time lol. After more hilarious and bizarre stories he started a Q&A which is always fun to hear answers to interesting questions. Then it was time for the music oh yeaaa. Here was the setlist:
Holy shit. Corey covering Green Day??????? I believe I was the only one who was happy and knew the song. Most people grumbled when he was Green Day was one of his all time favorite bands. Fuck you people. Its amazing, Corey is the only person who could get a room of hundreds of metal heads to jam to Prince, and Live. Everyone was screaming the songs back at him. They would never admit it but I WAS THERE AND I HEARD YOU ALL! I about fell on the floor when he started to play Taciturn<3 ahhh I dreamed of hearing that song live<3 it was amazing and just perfect. Snuff was heartbreaking as always, watching Corey struggle to get through it without bursting into tears. The whole show was so amazing and its fun to hear covers, it gives them new life coming from someone you love like I love Corey. After the show was over, now came the fun part...the waiting game. We sat on the curb and were thrilled to just be able to sit down for a while. The staff started gating us in so we decided to cross the street and not have to be behind a gate with a bunch of nasty smokers suffocating us. During this wait we were approached by quite a few "homeless" people. Now I say that in quotations because this asshole was begging money while his iPhone 6 was shining in his back pocket. I'm not stupid and I'm not giving you my money when you clearly have more money than me. Another one came creeping up behind us and wanted money then asked to use our phones. He wouldn't go away so the staff told him to leave, he didn't so the smallest of the security staff dragged his ass down the street and made him leave. It was pretty awesome. We saw quite a few pimps drive by in old school Cadillac's in pristine condition. Then a giant crew of people on bicycles with lights on the tires rode passed. I mean hundreds of people in the streets on their bikes, it was funny. At this point it had been well over an hour or more. Eventually Corey came out and was signing autographs across the street where the people were gated in. I was so nervous he wouldn't get to us and go straight on the tour bus and we'd be screwed. It seemed like forever but he finally got over to us<3 I was actually able to speak this time so that was good haha. He signed my jacket right by Jericho and said he was glad to be signing by him cuz he is a very close personal friend of his. We got our pictures and I got my hug finally<3 It was the best. This weekend I shot Clash Wrestling's show Slamma Jamma. I wanted to break my rut of wrestling photos all looking similar so I attempted to shoot differently and definitely edit differently. I feel like most wrestling pictures (and all sports for that matter) tend to get pretty boring to look at because most photographers don't add a creative flare to them. That may just be my opinion but I definitely didn't want to fall into that category of photographers. So here is my attempt to break out of my rut of same old same old photography. This is only just the beginning of me trying to reinvent myself in wrestling photography. Stay tuned to see what I may come up with next.
Until then...... |
